S+B Family {San Dimas Photographer}

I didn’t know it was possible to have such an adorable little family shoot.
Normally with two toddlers it is the most difficult thing ever! But this family was so sweet and the kiddos were adorable.

Also, I’m in love with this location! I got really excited and ran home/edited/blogged. lol

Here are some of my favorites (Shantel, there are a lot more you haven’t seen yet)

Enjoy!

My Grandma & Grandpa’s Wedding Renewals{Personal} {A success story}

 Let me just start by saying this: This is a tiny blog post. Reasoning: I was IN the wedding, so my boyfriend was taking most of the photos. These are the four that I took that I was happy with.

I wanted to blog them, because I wanted to show off my grandma and grandpa a bit. My grandma, Marcia was my best friend growing up. I was a total and absolute grandmas girl! She would always listen to me rant about boys in elementary-highschool and she always told me some pretty great advice in return.We would always go shopping together and she was always the most generous person when it came to her grandkids. She is a very strong and giving woman.  My grandpa, Craig has always been so hard working for his family, and he is the sweetest grandpa anyone could ever ask for. He also just retired! (cheers!). Needless to say, I have some amazing grandparents, so the definately needed a spot on the blog;)

Some of my favorite memories with them took place when they lived in Lake Arrowhead in their beautiful home right by the lake. I never wanted to go home from a weekend at my grandparents. It always smelled so amazing up there, and I remember each room in the house was wallpapered and decorated a certain way. Everything was so ‘homy’ and warm. My grandparents always had a room for each grand kid. I always slept in the ‘yellow room’ and my brother and cousin each had a room as well. The beds were always comfy, and my grandma would always leave a window cracked at night so we could get fresh air. I’d always lay awake for a bit just to listen to the sounds of the woods and stare up at the big trees from my bed, and wonder  what was out there.  It was such a cool place to come to when you wanted to just ‘get away ‘ for a bit. My grandma always had amazing meals going, and we always had amazing days planned. I could go on and on about the times at my grandmas house in Arrowhead.

anyways…

My grandparents have been together for 47 years now! And they decided to renew their vows so they could have their first actual, ‘real wedding’. My grandma and grandpa were married by a judge the first time. They didn’t have a lot of money back then, so they couldn’t have a honeymoon, and my grandma couldn’t buy a dress. So they wanted to go all out this time, and enjoy themselves! Which I think was greatly deserved and very beautiful.

They had the wedding at a catholic church,m y grandma picked out an awesome dress, and my grandpa got to get stylin’ in a suit! And their whole family was there, which made it really special. The ceremony was very lovely. I’m not really a religious person, but I really liked what the father talked about  in regards to the situation. He pointed out that there should have been more people there to witness the renewal , because so many people don’t think something like “a successful 47 year marriage” can exist. He called them a ‘success story’ and it was very cool to look at it in that perspective–It’s true! Love can work!

After the ceremony I got to snap a couple of photos of them, and here they are.

My grandma and Grandpa of 47 years! I love you both and congrats!

Snow Angel{Styled Shoot}

  This shoot was so fun to put together. It started out months ago, when me and my friend at  kristenbooth.net sought out to find this amazing location hidden in southern California. It took us hours to find, but once we found it we started planning a shoot as a team. We waited for the snow (we thought it would add some magic to the broken down castle) , we got an awesome vintage dress and made a hair wreath, then headed to the location! It was the first ‘whisper’ session I’ve ever done, and it was the first shoot i’ve fallen down at! HARD WORK PAID OFF. I’m in love with these images.

Thank you www.rileyhagel.com for hair+Makeup

Hannah Jennison {Portraits} {Styled}

I was just ‘OH so lucky’  and very giddy when I was contacted by Hannah to do this shoot.  I had so much fun with this sweet girl, and the props we got to play with were awesome! (vintage car/vintage camera). I’m very excited about how they came out. SO I’m quickly blogging them. Let me know what you think! Hannah and I would appreciate it:)

xoxo
